Exclusive counter and bar stool in leather
The PLAYchair Counter and Bar is a Danish-designed bar stool that is produced using sustainable quality materials in two seating heights, 65 cm and 75 cm. The stool has a light and elegant look that is perfect for the Nordic style.
The stool is upholstered by skilled craftsmen who carefully select and hand-cut the leather used for the upholstery. The shell is made from 12 mm shape pressed FSC certified beech veneer, upholstered with 20 mm Oeko-Tex certified cold cured foam, providing excellent comfort while sitting. The stool is covered with Oeko-Tex certified protected leather, which has a smooth, polished surface with a subtle fine-printed texture. The leather is water-resistant, dirt-resistant, stain-resistant, durable and easy to maintain. The frame is made from 16 mm powder-coated steel. The frame is stackable, but we do not recommend stacking fully upholstered chairs for extended periods as it may leave marks on the upholstery.
The contoured upholstered veneer shell gives the stool a timeless and modern look. The low backrest provides good support for the back.
The stool is perfect for the kitchen island in the modern conversation kitchen, and would also fit well in restaurants, hotels and cafes. The footrest on the frame allows you to rest your legs, allowing you to sit comfortably for hours while enjoying a drink, cooking, or working on homework with the kids at the kitchen island.
Sustainability
The PLAYchair is made of FSC certified beech veneer and Oeko-Tex certified cold cured foam and leather, so you can be sure you are investing in a sustainable piece of furniture.
Packaging
The PLAYchair is packed with two chairs per box to optimize shipping as much as possible. The packaging is made of FSC certified paper, of course.

Protected leather is durable and designed to last, with a special surface treatment that makes it water-repellent, dirt-repellent, and stain-resistant. The leather is soft, comfortable, and has a uniform look, with minimal natural markings. This type of leather is easy to maintain and often has a strong top color, with a finish on top. It may be slightly breathable and can have a natural or printed grain.
HERO is an all-around Protected leather with a uniform grain structure, which optimises its ability to be used for virtually any type of project. It boasts a smooth, buffed surface with a very fine print. The result is a very subtle texture with lovely natural markings.It’s a user-friendly leather that’s easy to work with. In 2014 Simonsen started his cooperation with Bruunmunch to create new products under the name Bruunmunch and Simonsen, PLAY chair and LinK table are the first results of this fruitful cooperation. Claus C. Simonsen is a licensed Architect from School of Architecture in Aarhus and has, for several years, designed buildings, in all scales, both in Denmark and abroad, mostly for Henning Larsen Architects in Copenhagen

The LEATHER STANDARD label indicates that the labelled article has successfully passed a test for chemicals that are harmful to health. The basis for this test, which is carried out by an independent OEKO-TEX® partner institute, is the OEKO-TEX® criteria catalogue with several hundred regulated individual substances. The strict limit values and test criteria of the criteria catalogue are much stricter than the valid national and international specifications and include various parameters for safeguarding health. OEKO-TEX® updates the test criteria at least once per year and, in doing so, takes into account the latest scientific findings and changes to legislation.
