Do you need a new or an extra plate for your table, you can find it here. The PLAYdinner Lamé extendable Dining Table is extendable with up to two additional plates. If you purchase additional plates at a later time than your table, the color of the wood might differ from your original table because your table will have patinated over time. The additional plates are made of FSC certified wood and are handmade in Denmark.
PLAYdinner Lamé is designed based on a geometric formula invented by the French Physicist and Mathematician Gabriel Lamé. The formula is used to calculate the ellipse-shaped curves that make up the shape of the tabletop, a shape also known as a superellipse. The special shape of the PLAYdinner Lamé, which lies between the shape of a rectangular and a round table, helps to create an incredibly cozy and social atmosphere and helps to gather everyone around it in the same way that is otherwise only possible with a round dining table. PLAYdinner Lamé is handmade in Denmark with continuous, solid wooden slats, the wooden slats are sorted so that the plates appear beautiful and harmonious with fine grain patterns.
The dining table comes with two additional plates which are stored in the storage compartment under the table, this makes it quick and easy to extend the table. The joints on our extendable dining table are made very precise, this makes the joints seem almost invisible, this is one of the key details of this design. The classic timeless design in solid wood ensures that this table fits almost all classic chairs on the market.
The dining table is produced in Solid wood because it is durable, and also because it provides a visual experience and adds a natural warmth to your decor.
The table is extendable with up to two additional plates which can easily be added, extending the table from 180 cm. to 230 cm. or a total of 280 cm. seating up to 10 (12) people.
The table can be used as a dining table at home, in restaurants or cafes or as a meeting table in design-conscious companies.

PLAYdinner tables are produced in a furniture factory in Denmark, in FSC certified oak and walnut, so you can be sure that you are investing in a sustainable piece of furniture.
Packaging
PLAYdinner tables are packed flat to save on CO2 emissions during transportation. The packaging is of course also made of FSC certified paper.

We often hear that customers are nervous about choosing solid wood tables because they are nervous that the surface is too delicate. However, this is completely misunderstood. An oiled solid wood table is very durable and dirt-repellent, also for families with children. It is of course important to maintain the tabletop correctly. One of the big advantages of oiled solid wood over artificial surfaces is that they can be easily refreshed or repaired if they get scratches or the like over time. Signs of use are simply removed when you maintain the table with a fresh coat of oil.
This table is equipped with a storage compartment underneath the table that can hold up to 2 additional plates. The plates are easily stored away and easily available when you need to extend your table. The storrage compartment is hidden behind the table frame concealing the storred plates while not in use.
At Bruunmunch Furniture, we produce our extendable tables with a special tool that makes a tongue and groove joint between the top plates.This unique method is extremely precise and makes it possible for us to produce extendable tables where the joints between the top plates are almost invisible.Solid wood is however a living material that is affected by the relative humidity in the room. Wood absorbs and emits humidity to and from its surroundings and this may cause a small opening in the middle of the joint or a small opening in the ends of the joint between the plates. These openings will change throughout the year due to changes in humidity influenced by the four seasons of the year. This is not a defect in the product, but an expression of the fact that wood is a living material.

We only use wood from sustainable forests. FSC (Forest Stewardship Council®) is a global labelling scheme for wood that aims to protect nature, as well as the people who work in and depend on it. With FSC you are assured that no more wood is felled than the forest can reproduce. At the same time the forest workers have access to training, safety equipment and a proper salary. In addition, the FSC is the only global labelling scheme that has broad support from green organizations such as WWF, Greenpeace and Forests of the World. Bruunmunch Furniture was founded in 2008 by the two childhood friends Jacob Munch and Henrik Bruun. The two sober minded owners from the southern part of Denmark have known each other since the age of five. Their pursuit for perfection was failing to be met when it came to furniture so they decided to make their own, and form a company with an uncompromising approach to design and quality.Bruunmunch has developed dramatically from the early days. But the processes within production has not changed since the first piece of furniture was created by the two owners from Esbjerg.
