The Reason is a reinterpretation of the greatest icons from the 1950s. Designed to visually appeal to your senses and create a frame for relaxation. This sofa is perfect for those who value both comfort and Scandinavian design. The visible wooden frame in oiled Oak adds a warm and natural contrast to the soft upholstery. The oiled oak frame emphasizes the classic design and gives the sofa a solid and robust expression. This combination of natural materials creates a balance between the modern and the traditional, fitting perfectly into a timeless and elegant interior. The sofa can also be used for commercial purposes and is perfect for hotel interiors and lounge areas at design conscious companies.
Reason is padded with Oeko-Tex certified high-density cold cured foam in the seat and backrest for optimal support. The wide seats provide extra comfort.
Reason is available in several different quality fabrics, including some of the finest quality fabrics from the Danish textile manufacturer Kvadrat. The fabrics are made of high-quality materials that are carefully selected to ensure durability. Kvadrat fabrics are known for their unique texture, lively colors, and premium quality.
Reason is produced by skilled craftsmen in Europe who use traditional techniques, ensuring a high level of craftsmanship and attention to detail.
Sustainability
The Reason sofa is handcrafted in Europe and made with care. The sofa's frame and solid wood base are made from FSC-certified wood. The sofa is upholstered with Oeko-Tex certified cold cured foam, so you can be sure you're investing in a sustainable piece of furniture.

Product care
Regular cleaning is important in order to keep the upholstery textile looking its best and to prolong its life. Dust and dirt wear down the textile and also reduce its retardant properties, eventually it can also change the color of the fabric
Vacuum clean every week
Vacuum frequently, ideally every week, at half power with a soft brush on the vacuum cleaner.
Stain Removal
Remove stains as soon as they occur, this will increase the chance of removing the stains completely. Remove stains with clean warm water or sparkling water.

VIEW ALLRe-Wool
Crafted using 45% recycled wool, Re-wool is a rich upholstery textile with a sustainable profile. The textile is partly made by reusing scraps from Kvadrat’s yarn spinners in the UK. It is designed by Margrethe Odgaard. The idea was to create a both honest and environmentally friendly – textile with a poetic feel by recycling leftover material from Kvadrat’s own production’, explains Margrethe Odgaard. Reminiscent of colourful stitchings on a darker background, Re-wool features exceptional depth of colour, creating a dynamic play on the textile’s surface when applied to furniture.

Peter Barreth is a furniture & product designer based in Aarhus, Denmark. As a third generation upholsterer, Peter knows how to work with furniture. His work seeks to create honest and considered object for the home and office environments. His style is clean and uncompromising and strongly rooted in traditional techniques and craftsmanship influenced by the strong danish design decade - the 1960’s.
